Meet our staff

Francesca Tenconi, Founder and Executive Director, ftenconi@csdf.org

Francesca Tenconi is a native of Contra Costa County. When she was 11 years old, she was diagnosed with pemphigus foliaceus, a rare skin disease. Today, she uses her unique insights from this ordeal to help other children.  Francesca graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor's in Biopsychosocial impacts of chronic childhood illness.  She focused on the psychological impacts, the biological and public policy aspects of chronic illness in children. She has completed the pre-med program at the University of Southern California and worked as a co-investigator on clinical trials in the division of dermatology at UCLA, which have now been published.  In 2018, Francesca earned her M.B.A. at Berkeley Haas School of Business with a focus in healthcare and nonprofit management.  Francesca also serves on the CSDF board as chairman.

Christine Tenconi, Development Coordinator, ctenconi@csdf.org

Christine Tenconi is Francesca's mother and instrumental in starting Camp Wonder!  She graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology. After graduation, she worked for Child Protective Services for the City of Richmond, and then as a manager in an orthopedic/oncology medical office, counseling families with children with pediatric cancer. Christine uses her unique insights from being a parent of a child with chronic illness to work closely with CSDF families and give guidance to parents.

Stephanie Pham, Program Coordinator, StephaniePham@csdf.org

Stephanie has been involved with the Children’s Skin Disease Foundation for over ten years in various roles, her favorite being a counselor at Camp Wonder.  Stephanie was grateful for the opportunity to come as a camper. She had the privilege of returning as a counselor, providing support, friendship, and became a mentor to younger campers. It was that passion that led her to go get her Nonprofit Management Certificate from Duke University in 2014. In her free time, she volunteers with various organizations in her local community.
