Francesca Tenconi

Francesca graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor's in Biopsychosocial impacts of chronic childhood illness.  She focused on the psychological impacts, the biological and public policy aspects of chronic illness in children. She has completed the pre-med program at the University of Southern California and worked as a co-investigator on clinical trials in the division of dermatology at UCLA, which have now been published.  In 2018, Francesca earned her M.B.A. at Berkeley Haas School of Business with a focus in healthcare and nonprofit management. She has been a board member of S.K.I.N and advisory to Duke University Trinity Board of Visitors.

John Donofrio

Mr. John A. Donofrio, Jr. serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Novan, Inc. and President of EPI Health subsidiary following EPI Health’s acquisition by Novan in 2022. He has over 30 years of experience in leading US and International teams in the pharmaceutical industry and brings a proven track record of business, operations, strategic, and financial leadership.  Prior to EPI, Mr. Donofrio was CFO at TrialCard, and earlier was CFO and Head of Business Development for Merz North America. In addition to his executive positions, Mr. Donofrio spent over 20 years with GSK in various US and international roles, including Global Vice President of finance for the dermatology business unit, Stiefel, a GSK company.  He is a board member and audit chair for Aytu Bioscience, treasurer and board member of Alliance Medical Ministries.  Mr. Donofrio is a graduate of North Carolina State University, with a degree in accounting. John joined the CSDF board in 2015 and has been volunteering at Camp Wonder for over 10 years.  John, his wife Terri, and daughters, Kate and Allison, all volunteer at camp.

 

Lincoln Krochmal, M.D.

Dr. Krochmal is a board-certified dermatologist with more than 28 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and consumer goods industries. focusing on the development of new products both locally and globally. His most recent role was as CEO & President of Excaliard Pharmaceuticals. Prior to that, he was Executive Vice President of Research and Product Development for Connetics Corporation, a specialty dermatology company headquartered in Palo Alto, Calif. After almost four years with Connetics, Dr. Krochmal formed his own consultant business, providing strategic guidance and technical assistance to the pharmaceutical and aesthetics industries.

Dr. Krochmal received his Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree from the University of Wisconsin, his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Wisconsin, and his board certification in dermatology from the University of Missouri Medical Center. In 2005, Dr. Krochmal was appointed to the Board of Directors of the International Academy of Cosmetic Dermatology. In August 2007, he was appointed to the Board of Directors of Quinnova Pharmaceuticals. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, a Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology, and a member of the International Society of Dermatology and the Dermatology Foundation.

Dr. Krochmal joined the CSDF board in 2016.  "Dr. K", as we refer to him at camp, has been volutneering at Camp Wonder since 2004.  His wife, Lana, and daugher, Natalie, also volunteer at Camp Wonder.

 

Donald Tenconi, J.D.

Donald Tenconi is Francesca's father and was instrumental in founding CSDF and Camp Wonder.  Donald is an attorney representing clients in complex business litigation, as well as counseling clients regarding technology licensing and international law in Walnut Creek, Calif. and Washington, D.C.

A native of the Bay Area, Don graduated from UCLA with a bachelor’s degree in microbiology. Don has extensive business experience, serving in senior management positions in numerous companies, including Anti-Surge Corporation and the Industrial Environmental Services Division of IT Corporation. He received his law degree from the University of San Francisco and practices complex business litigation and has been awarded an AV rating.  Don also co-authored "Non-Profit Guidance: for The Non-Profit Board Member (Non-Profit Guidance & Risk Management)".

Donald joined the CSDF board and has been volunteering at Camp Wonder since 2001. 

 

Todd Zavodnick, M.B.A.

Todd E. Zavodnick is  Chief Executive Officer at Dermavant.  Prior to joining Dermavant, he was Chief Commercial Officer and President, Aesthetics and Therapeutics of Revance Therapeutics, President, International, of Zeltiq and President & General Manager of Galderma North America, where he was responsible for all North America operations within the Pharmaceutical, Consumer (self-medication), and Aesthetic & Corrective businesses. He also previously served as Galderma's Vice President, General Manager Aesthetic & Corrective USA, from May 2014 to January 2016, during which time he was responsible for Galderma's Aesthetic & Corrective operations in the United States. Todd also served as Senior Regional Director for Galderma's European and Latin America Operations, from May 2012 to January 2015, during which time he was responsible for all operations within Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America for Galderma regarding all business units of Pharmaceutical, Consumer (self-medication), and Aesthetic and Corrective Lines. Prior to joining Galderma, Mr. Zavodnick served as President, China and Mongolia for Alcon, a Novartis company, from April 2009 to July 2012, at which he oversaw operations for Alcon China and Mongolia focusing on the areas of medical devices, pharmaceuticals and consumer eye care. In his career, Mr. Zavodnick has spent time leading organizations in Asia (residing in Beijing, China, for four years), Europe (residing in Lausanne, Switzerland, for two and a half years), the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America for Alcon Laboratories and Galderma Laboratories. He began his career as a Registered Pharmacist.  Mr. Zavodnick earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Rutgers University and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Dallas.  Todd joined the CSDF board in 2015.  He also serves on the board of Allurion Technologies.  Todd and his daughter  Quinn, volunteer at Camp Wonder.

Nick Summers (Junior Board Member)

Nick Summers is the Director of Research Operations at Precision Health Economics.  At PHE, Mr. Summers is responsible for developing, managing, and implementing PHE's project management application to meet business needs and measure the health of the business in real time. In addition, Mr. Summers consults with project teams to ensure projects are being executed according to plan, identifies potential issues early, and discusses the most efficient approaches to get the projects back on track. In previous roles, he was responsible for recruiting scientists, developing capabilities, and managing resources as the head of the Health Services Research department. His department was comprised of Research Scientists responsible for executing evidence synthesis, evidence generation, and research dissemination tasks across the company’s entire portfolio of work.  Mr. Summers is a Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude graduate of Occidental College, earning his BA in economics with an emphasis in business management.
