A Unique Collaboration

Camp Wonder is the only camp in the Western United States for children with serious skin disease. Physicians, nurses and medical students volunteer their time to interact directly with the children. These healthcare professionals play, share meals, and provide medical care to our campers. The campers love the attention while the medical volunteers gain valuable insights into their diseases and lives. Camp Wonder is proud to collaborate with physicians from some of California's finest medical institutions.

Support for Children and Their Families

Having a child diagnosed with a serious skin disease is a life-altering diagnosis for the child and family alike. Due to the rarity of many of these conditions, there is often little or no meaningful infrastructure in place. Accurate information is hard to obtain and most families are not prepared for the emotional, psychological and financial toll that accompanies these conditions. The Children's Skin Disease Foundation is frequently on of the first organizations parents and families contact. Serving children through Camp Wonder, providing medical supplies, medical equipment and support for skin disease research, gives us unique insights into the diseases.

Volunteer Opportunities
Find out how you can volunteer and assist CSDF by helping as a camp counselor, back administration office, or at camp. There are plenty of opportunities available for you to help.
